The splash pad is now officially on for the rest of the summer! We want to give our immense thanks to Steve Johnson for repairing the leak and in general, for all the hard work he has put in getting the fountain to work again these past few years.
In order to use the splash pad, simply place your hand on the center of the flower censor on the splash pad. The water will cycle for a few minutes and then shut off. Simply touch the sensor again to restart. Please note, the water will automatically shut off at 8pm daily.
Also, while using the park, please remind children to keep the sand in the sandbox. If too much sand gets onto the splash pad, this can ruin the fountain heads.
Thank you, and enjoy the water play and the park this summer!
Is your child heading to summer camp soon? Will you need to meticulously label each and over single one of their things that they take to and fro? If you do, instead of just using that Sharpie, how about considering Oliver’s Labels and supporting the Mt. Vernon Children’s Park at the same time? Mount Vernon Children’s Park is working with Oliver’s Labels in an ongoing fundraiser. Oliver’s Labels sells personalized name stickers that are washable for in washing machines and dishwashers, and can be customized with your child’s name and with one of their designs. These labels are also great for the school year.
The park will receive 20% of any sales made through our fundraising link at www.oliverslabels.com/mtvernonchildrenspark.
