Even though Summer vacation is over and school has started, we can still have fun! Let’s have one more meet-up at the park before it gets cold. Come have fun with other neighborhood families on Friday, September 22nd, at 5:30pm.
The Park will be closed for maintenance and upkeep starting on Friday, August 4th, 2017. Some of the work being done is painting/repairing the fence and pruning the trees. It is unclear how long the work will take, but we’ll post updates as we get them. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We had a lot of fun in May, lets do it again on Friday, 6/23/17. We hope to see you at the park, 5:30pm to dark.

Help us raise money to help maintain and improve the park by joining us at Poets Modern Cocktails and Eats for our first fundraiser of 2016! Poets will be donating a percentage of all bar sales (food and drink) during the event to the park!

Join us for our June park meet-up this Friday, June 17, 2016! The meet-up will go from 5:30pm until the park closes. Come on by and meet and socialize with other children and families from the neighborhood!
The Friends of Mt. Vernon Children’s Park have big news to share! This last winter, we applied for the Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund Grant and found out earlier this month that we were one of the recipients! With the grant funds that we will receive, we will be adding new toddler equipment to the park. While we are still working out details of what will be added, work will begin in the next few months, with completion of the work by June of 2017.
